What is a Lac?
It's pretty tough to always speak the global language. Different terminologies across the globe mean different things. Here is an example of how an Indian dialect can confuse an American.
American: Hey! Nice to know about your culture. So how much would a house cost in India?
East Indian: I would say, may be a few Lacs!
American: ???!!
East Indian: hmmm?
American: What is a Lac??
East Indian: A Lac is.....hmm...umm...One followed by 5 zeroes. One hundred...thousand. What do you call it here?
American: ha ha. That's exactly what we call it! A hundred Thousand! :)
